Louis Kwong Ching Li
Born in Hong Kong in 2011 and now based in Toronto, Canada, Louis Li is a young pianist recognized for his musical sensitivity, refinement, and expressive depth. Since discovering the piano at the age of five, he has embraced music as a universal language—one that transcends cultures and speaks directly to the human spirit.
Louis currently studies with Dr. Michael Berkovsky, following his earlier training with Ms. Vanessa Wai Yin Wong at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. In the 2026–2027 season, he was selected to join the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (TSYO) as Principal Piano, further deepening his experience in orchestral performance and collaborative musicianship.
His artistic development has been further enriched through masterclasses and guidance from distinguished pianists and educators, including Dang Thai Son, Vanessa Latarche, Natalia Trull, John O’Conor, Charlotte Hu, Alexander Korsantia, Douglas Humpherys, Tamás Ungár, John Owings, Igor Resnianski, Michael Lewin, William Fong, Katarina Grewe, David Ball, Gabriel Kwok, Eleanor Wong, Tony Yang, among others.

Awards & Artistic Journey
Louis has received numerous distinctions at piano competitions and festivals in Canada and internationally. To him, each achievement is not an endpoint, but an opportunity to learn, grow, and deepen his artistic voice.
He is deeply grateful to the teachers, mentors, family, friends, fellow musicians, collaborators, and audiences who have accompanied and supported him along the way. Above all, Louis gives thanks to God for the gifts entrusted to him and for His guidance throughout his musical journey. With humility and gratitude, he hopes to continue growing and using music to connect with others, inspire hope, and share beauty and joy.
